Myles Garrett Speaks On The Deshaun Watson Suspension, Says The Defense Will Have To Step Up

Browns

It is no secret that the Browns are in a little bit of a tight situation with the 11-game suspension of their newly acquired QB1 Deshaun Watson. Watson was recently suspended by the NFL for 11 games, Watson was also fined $5 million.

Watson will be able to suit up for week 13 in Houston against the Texans. Watson’s suspension has been top news for a while now around the NFL and now Cleveland Brown’s star Myles Garrett speaks on the situation.

“I think it’s an opportunity. I think it’s a challenge,” Garrett said of Watson’s 11-game suspension in his Tuesday press conference. “I feel like us as a defense, we have to look forward to taking on that task. Obviously, he’s a very dynamic player and we might miss his presence on offense. But that’s an opportunity for us to step up to the plate and be a very dominant defense, regardless of what the offense does. ”I feel like as a defense, you have to make those stands,” Garrett said. according to Sports Yahoo.com

How does Myles feel?

Myles also stated that he looks forward to the challenge ahead of the Browns’ defense and that he can not wait to get on the field for week one against Baker Mayfield and the Carolina Panthers. Myles Garrett is a player that will also see that good in a bad situation and will always keep the team on track as he is a natural leader for the Cleveland Browns.

The Cleveland Browns finished number five in yards allowed last year but they were number 13 in points allowed as they had a lot of problems with turnovers last season. If acting as starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett and the Cleveland Browns’ offense can take care of the ball Myles Garrett and the Browns’ defense should put them in a lot of winning situations.

Myles has made his goal for this team very clear over the years. Myles Garret wants to win a Superbowl for the city of Cleveland and with the addition of Deshaun Watson despite the suspension could easily make the goal a reality.

Where are the Browns going?

The Cleveland Browns are heading in the right direction and they have been for a few years now. This year might be a little rough without a true QB1 but if the defense can keep the Browns a float until Deshaun Watson can suit up there is a chance of a browns playoff run.
