However, since that fantastic championship run back in 2021 that granted the Milwaukee Bucks their first ring, things have been pretty rough. Despite Dame Time returning, it was just not enough to steal a road win in either of the first two games. The Bucks are in a scary spot right now. One more loss without a win and the series is effectively over. If that’s the case, Antetokounmpo may need to make a very tough choice. If the Milwaukee Bucks can not even get out of the first round, Giannis may need to find himself an exit strategy, and quickly.

The Milwaukee Bucks are in trouble. Even if they are to double down with Lillard and Giannis, they will not have the cap space to sign the additional help needed. This now lands on Antetokounmpo to decide if he is a one-franchise kind of guy, or does he want more rings while he is in his prime? It is a tale as old as the NBA itself: loyalty against the sensation of raising trophies. It will be extremely interesting to see what Antetokounmpo decides.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is a rare talent. However, with that amount of skill comes these tough decisions. Realistically, Giannis no longer owes the Milwaukee Bucks anything. He brought them a title as promised, they have failed to build a roster that can compete in recent years, and nobody wants to play in Milwaukee. If the Bucks can not turn this series around, they could lose Giannis Antetokounmpo forever. However, there is still time. Win these next two at home and tie this series up, or there could very well be consequences.
