Where Will Harden Land?

Many teams will try to throw a package together for the former MVP, but as of right now the Los Angeles Clippers and the Miami Heat are the frontrunners to land Harden. Teams across the league understand that with the caliber of player James Harden is that he will most likely reach his preferred destination. Where Harden wants to land is unclear as of right now. The 76ers have already begun discussing possible deals with other teams.

James Harden averaged 21 points and 10 assists per game last season. He was Traded from Brooklyn to Philly in 2022 after he was the first to see the problems with the Durant and Irving duo. Harden would then sign a two-year $68 million extension with the 76ers. Philadelphia would finish 58-28 last season but would fall to the Celtics in the East semifinals.

According to TheAthletic.com, it is likely that Harden opted in due to no suitors being able to pay him more than his $35.6 million. Harden’s contract can not be extended though, so he will almost definitely be a rental. With him hitting free agency next summer it may limit the amount of teams interested and what they would give up. With it being unknown what team Harden wishes to join it would be safe to say it would be somewhere with good nightlife.

A Common Theme

James Harden has forced his way off of every team that he faces the slightest adversity on. This move is not a good look for the Harden brand or for James as a player. From starting off in OKC with Durant and Westbrook to forcing his way off to Houston.
