Netflix Reportedly Trying To Get Disney To Let Them Make A Star Wars Show

Netflix looking to make a Star Wars series.

Is a new Star Wars show headed to Netflix? The streamer is reportedly actively trying to convince Disney to let them make a Star Wars-themed show.

Now, this is extremely unlikely to happen as these two companies are directly competing against watch other in the cut-throat streaming service business. If Netflix somehow got its hands on the Star Wars universe it is not clear what this project would be about or what characters would be in it.

Every streaming service provider is always looking for ways to get ahead of the others it just doesn’t seem that Disney would want Netflix to compete with their own Star Wars content.

“Disney cemented this division when the Netflix/Marvel TV shows were canceled, with that mini-universe coming to an end in favor of Disney Plus’ shows that tie in much more closely to the movies. The Mouse House granting their biggest competitor the right to use their most valuable intellectual property would be shooting themselves in the foot. Perhaps the only way this could happen is if Netflix had something Disney desperately wanted,” reports We Got This Covered

Is Star Wars headed to Netflix?

Maybe Netflix was planning on doing something like Star Wars Visions (That come out the 22nd of this month) where they made some shot stories in the Star Wars galaxy. No one can really be sure as this will most likely never happen at least not anytime in the near future.

It would be very interesting to know what Netflix was planning on doing if they were given the okay by Disney. It literally could have been anything at all. It 1could be a Vader show, an Old Republic show, even a Jango Fett stand-alone show.

We will most likely never know as there is such a slim chance that Disney would allow this especially after how well all of their Star Wars shows are doing on Disney +. It would be a wild ride if Netflix got their way and made A Star Wars show but again it will most likely never ever happen.
