“Fifty Shades of Grey” fans get excited because there is a brand new book coming out in the series and it is all from Christian Grey’s point of view. The new E.L. James book will be released on June 18, which is Christian’s birthday!
New ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Book Coming June 18
So, here is what to expect from the new “Fifty Shades of Grey” book; It will be the first book of the series retold from Christian’s point of view. This means fans will get to be inside the head of Christian Grey as he meets and falls deeply in love with Anastasia Steele, all the while battling his inner demons. The Novel is also being called “Grey.”
Fans could not be more excited about this new novel, and will without a doubt be rushing to buy the book online, or at their local book stores.
E.L. James’ Big ‘Grey’ Announcement
James first announced the book via a statement on Instagram to her fans saying, “Hello all. For those of you who have asked, Christian’s POV of #FSOG is published on 18th June for his birthday. It’s called GREY… I hope you enjoy it. #FiftyShades #Grey,” E.L. captioned an instagram post on June 1.
“Christian is a complex character, and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place — writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage.”
More ‘Twilight’ Similarities for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey?’
As many fans may know “Fifty Shades of Grey” started out as a fan fiction based off of the “Twilight” series, and Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s characters, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. However, over time it evolved in to it’s own story and took over E.L. James until it became so popular it was deemed “mommy porn” by the media.
Later, the first novel was turned into a movie starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.
Since “Fifty Shades” was first based off “Twilight,” some fans wonder if E.L. James got the idea to re-write the first book from Christian’s perspective from “Twilight” author Stephanie Meyer, who began re-writing “Twilight” from Edward’s point of view in a book titled “Midnight Sun,” but when the first few chapters of the book got leaked, Stephanie felt very betrayed and never finished it.
We don’t care where E.L. James got her inspiration to write the new “Fifty Shades” novel, but we can’t wait to read it!
