Nicolas Cage has ended his fourth marriage just four days after a quickie wedding the Face Off star has called it quits and filed from an annulment from Erika Koike according to The Blast.
Nicolas Cage claims the reason for the annulment request is pretty simple that he reacted on a drunken impulse. Cage filed all the proper paperwork in Clark County, Nevada according to official documents obtained by the news outlet. The filing reads that “Plaintiff lacked understanding of his actions in marrying the Defendant to the extent that he was incapable of agreeing to the marriage.”
Cage and Koike were both described by Radar Online as being very intoxicated at the time of their wedding ceremony, which is allegedly the reason behind Cage being influenced by Koike in suggesting that the pair take the plunge so quickly.
“As a result of his intoxication … Plaintiff reacted on impulse and without the ability to recognize or understand the full impact of his actions,” the
papers allege.
Nicolas also explained that he felt duped by Erika for reasons including her failure to disclose pertinent information such as being involved in another relationship along with past and active criminal proceedings. Cage has requested in the annulment that each he and Koike pay for their own legal counsel and that neither ask for spousal support or alimony.
This will be Nicolas Cage’s fourth marriage which now coincidentally ties him with his former second wife Lisa Marie Presley in failed marriages. Cages’ first wife was actress Patricia Arquette from 1995-2001, and his third wife was Alice Kim from 2004-2016.
As previously reported Nicolas Cage’s name was attached to a viral photo after a a YouTube user photo shopped Cages’ face into a scene from the hit comedy Friends of David Schwimmer’s popular Friend’s character Ross Geller.
