Norman Reedus, better known by “The Walking Dead ” fans as Daryl Dixon’s real life 15-year-old son Mingus Reedus has decided that he has no desire to follow in his famous father’s acting footsteps.

Walking Dead star’s son offered ‘Spiderman’ role

Oddly enough though Norman Reedus‘ son Mingus is one of the most persuade teenagers in Hollywood. Mingus recently got a call asking him if he was interested in auditioning for “Spiderman.” When asked by his father Norman Reedus about the opportunity Mingus declined revealing that he did not want to act because he does not want to ruin his life.

Mingus Reedus not interested in acting like father Norman Reedus

Mingus’ is the teenage son of Norman and super model mom Helena Christensen. The parents are not pushing their teenage son into Hollywood, but want him to decide for himself what he wants to do with his life. They want to let him make his own decisions about things that will effect his life in the long run that includes the super hero film “Spiderman.”
Norman Reedus reveals, ‘I asked him, Do you want to audition?’ He asked, ‘What part?’ I said, ‘I think you’d be Spider-Man.’ He said, ‘No, I don’t want to ruin my life.’ I went, ‘What do you mean?’ He said, ‘I don’t want to be famous.’

Norman Reedus reveals his son has a good head on his shoulders, and has watched first hand some of the effects that super fame has had on his father and their family.

Norman Reedus recently was reportedly forced to move because his “Walking Dead” fans found out where he was living and began following him home, hanging outside his home and interrupting his much wanted and needed privacy.

The Walking Dead cast are currently back in Atlanta filming Season 6 of AMC’s “The Walking Dead.” The new season o the popular zombie survival series is expected to return in October.
