It has been a long road back for the Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. after he tore his ACL last year as he will have to wait even longer to be back on the field with his team.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Odell would continue to practice on a limited basis until he is fully healed and ready to rock. OBJ’s status for week one was a game-time decision as he was warming up on the field and testing his knee but was ruled out anyway just in case.

He was pushing to get there, just didn’t feel like he could play a significant number of snaps,” Stefanski said. “I just felt like this for this week, the prudent thing to do was let those other [receivers] get all those reps and, let’s game plan accordingly,” reports ESPN.com.

Kevin Stefanski (last year’s coach of the year) said he does not want to get into a habit of Odell’s playing time being a weekly decision. The team just wants to keep playing it safe until OBJ is 100 percent healthy and is ready to give the Browns a big boost. It will be very interesting to see when Odell will be activated for Cleveland and what he will be able to do his first game back.

Browns look to get their first win without Odell Beckham Jr.

After the Brown’s heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in week one (a game where they could have used Odell Beckham Jr’s. skills) many fans lost their confidence in the team and said that it would just be another disappointing year.

However, the season is far from over and we can not just through in the towel for the whole season after just one game. Especially a game that had a lot of positives for the Cleveland Browns. This team is nowhere close to done yet and if anyone thinks that one game will slow them down they are sadly mistaken.

It will be very interesting to see how the Browns come out of the gate in week two against the Houston Texans. But for now, all we can do is wait until kickoff on Sunday to see if the Browns will be able to bounce back or if they will fall deeper into a hole.

Either way, it will be a must-watch and a must-win game for the Browns and their fans as every Browns fan will be tuned in and hoping for the first win of the season.
