Olivia Newton-John Opens Up About Breast Cancer, Treatments And Mortality

“Grease” star Olivia Newton-John recently shared some very personal details concerning her battle with stage-four breast cancer. The singer reveals how she is currently treating her disease, and how she feels about doctor’s life expectancy predictions according to the Mirror.

Olivia-Newton-John reveals she has absolutely no idea just how long her team of doctors feels she may have left to live. In November, she was given the devastating news that she is fighting breast cancer for the third time.

Positivity remains key

As previously reported, the singer  has is facing some very hard times with her health. In August, reports that Olivia’s deadly cancer had resurfaced spreading into the bones of her lower back. Sources close to Olivia allegedly spoke with RO revealing that things are pretty grim for the singer.

The grim medical diagnosis is not keeping Newton-John from fighting with all her might though. Olivia reveals that she doesn’t want  want a life expectancy prediction feeling it was best for her mental health not to know.

Speaking to 60 Minutes  she said: “When you’re given a cancer diagnosis or a scary illness diagnosis, you are suddenly given a possibility of a time limit.

“If you believe the statistics, you’re going to make them happen. If somebody tells you, ‘you have six months to live’, very possibly you will – because you believe that.”

Olivia is dedicating her time to raising money to research cannabis as a treatment alternative for breast cancer. She is reportedly selling her famous “Grease” movie memorabilia including Sandy’s leather jacket and pants to help fund the research costs.

As for treatment she says she is using cannabis grown in her home in California to help with her symptoms. Olivia states that she began using cannabis to wean herself off of the powerful drug morphine  after breaking her sacrum fearing she would become addicted.

Olivia Newton-John  is staying determined to fight the deadly disease with a positive attitude, taking each day one at a time. We wish the best for Olivia Newton-John during this tough medical battle.
