One Tree Hill fans have hope for a reunion, and the internet is buzzing with speculation that the show could be returning for another round.
One Tree Hill fans want a revival
This week, former OTH star Bethany Joy Lenz, who played the character of Haley James Scott on the show, took to her Instagram account to share a photo of some lockers from the original set. The pic featured the Tree Hill Ravens iconic blue lockers and school hallway with a spotlight cast on them.

Fans go crazy for OTH reunion pics
“Some pretty great #backtoschool news for you all… coming soon! #oth #ravens,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.
“WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???” one follower commented.
“What is happening?” another asked.
“Yes!!! Now I need to do a rewatch them all so I’m ready,” a third person stated.
“THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!” a fourth social media user exclaimed.
Lenz left no other information about the post. Her fellow co-stars Hilarie Burton, who portrayed Peyton Sawyer and Sophia Bush who played Brooke Davis, both left some cryptic emoji’s in the comments section of the social media share.
However, fans went wild for the photo, and immediately began to wonder if the cast would reunite for a reboot or sequel series. Many of the shows former stars have continued to keep in touch, and often get together in North Carolina, where the show was filmed, to interact with their fans at One Tree Hill conventions.
In addition, Lenz has revealed in the past that many of the cast would come back for a reunion if the circumstances were just right, meaning that the show’s creator, Mark Schwahn, would have to bow out of the series following a number of sexual assault allegations, some made by the female members of the cast.
As fans may remember, OTH ended its run with a heartwarming series finale, which was left open ended, and set up a reunion series perfectly.
In the final moments of the show, a time jump occurs, showing the members of the gang (minus Lucas Scott, played by Chad Michael Murray, and Peyton, who left the show in the penultimate season.)
Will there ever be a reboot?
Fans watched as the group gathered at Tree Hill High for a basketball game in order to watch Haley and Nathan’s son, Jamie, play for the Ravens. The rest of the character’s children were also seen interacting together, leaving the show open for a perfect setup for the original cast to return and play the roles of the parents this time around.
While fans are hoping that a reunion will be announced very soon, there could be a number of other announcements that could be made regarding the post. Another fan convention could be in the works, an interview with the entire cast, or possibly an at-home online reunion episode like Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock have done.
One thing is for sure, One Tree Hill fans are dying to know that Bethan Joy Lenz has to say, and are keeping their fingers crossed for a sequel series.
