‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 5 details finally revealed.

“Orange Is The New Black” Season 5 is officially headed back to Netflix in the very near future. The Netflix series, which spotlights the life of inmates in a women’s prison, has become a favorite among fans, will return for the brand new season this summer. In addition, a new teaser trailer for the upcoming episodes has also been released, and it’s intense.

According to TV Line, “Orange Is The New Black” Season 5 will begin streaming on Netflix on Friday, June 9. This means that fans have plenty of time to binge watch the first four seasons for the first time, or for a refresher, before Season 5 drops over the summer.

The latest teaser trailer that accompanied the big “OITNB” news also gave us glimpses at our favorite characters such as Piper, Alex, Nicky, Flaca, Taystee, Morello, Cindy, Maria, Red, Gloria, and the woman of the hour, Daya, whose story ended in a huge cliffhanger during the Season 4 finale.

As viewer will remember, “Orange Is The New Black” Season 4 ended with major drama and heartbreak. After Poussey’s tragic death, Caputo announced on live television that it was an accidental death, which send Taystee into a frenzy. She and angry fellow inmates banded together in an all out protest and riot which turned ugly very quickly when the hated officer Humphrey’s gun was knocked out of his hand and Daya picked it up and pointed it at his head.

According to the latest “Orange Is The New Black” spoilers for Season 5, the entire season will take place in the span of only three days, and what a three days it will be! Actress Danielle Brooks recently revealed that fans are in for a wild ride when the show returns to Netflix.

“Season 5 is done over the course of three days. You will watch 13 episodes and find out what happens in the course of three days, so it will be very detailed, very intense, and you better get ready, get your popcorn, your tissues, everything, for… I don’t know when it’s coming out because they never tell us, but sometime in the summer.”
