‘Outlander’ Season 2 Spoilers: Black Jack Randall Gone, But Not Forgotten

“Outlander” Season 2 is only days away, and everyone wants to know what’s in store for Claire and Jamie as they make their way to France to escape all the problems of their past, including the horrible Black Jack Randall.

‘Outlander’ Season 2 Spoilers: Black Jack Randall’s Impact

When last we saw Black Jack, the most vile character on “Outlander,” he had tortured and raped Jamie and then was left for dead at the prison as the highlanders rescued Jamie from his cell. While Black Jack certainly looked as if he could be dead, something tells us he’ll make another appearance in the near future.

While “Outlander” Season 2 will follow Claire and Jamie starting a new life in France and getting ready to welcome their unborn child, the memory of Captain Randall’s vulgar treatment of Jamie won’t soon be forgotten, and it could cause significant problems in his marriage to Claire.

“It’s important to remember that Black Jack lives in this relationship whether or not he’s alive in life,” Caitriona Balfe told Indie Wire. “He’s very much present; he’s continuing to poison what they have, their intimacy.”

Claire & Jamie Try To Build A New Life In France

“It affects the relationship,” added Sam Heughan. “They lose contact with each other in a way, they have their own ways of dealing with it. Jamie and Claire are supportive, the thing that connects them is the new hope of the new life growing inside of her. Certainly that way they reconnect —and hash it out as well.”

“Outlander” Season 2 premieres on Starz on Saturday, April 9, and is set to be more twisty and dramatic then the season before. Don’t forget to tune in to see the next step in Claire and Jamie’s journey together.
