“Outlander” fans are eagerly awaiting Season 3 of the hit Starz show, and now there is some exciting news to report. The network has officially revealed the synopsis for the third season of the hit show, and viewers are going wild.
‘Outlander’ Season 3 Synopsis Revealed
According to Outlander TV News, Season 3 is going to be based on the third novel in Dianna Gabaldon’s series, titled “Voyager.” Fans will get a look into the life of Claire after she returns through the stones pregnant. Claire and Frank’s marriage will never be what it was, and fans will get to see what transpires in the relationship.
Meanwhile, Jamie will suffer with the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden. He will have lost family and friends and will be a wanted man. Jamie will be forced into hiding to save his own life, and to make matters worse he’s lost Claire after she’s gone through the stones back to her own time, and to her first husband, Frank.
Claire and Jamie’s Story Continues
“[Season 3] will be based on the third of the eight books in the Outlander series, entitled Voyager, The third season of “Outlander” picks up right after Claire travels through the stones to return to her life in 1948. Now pregnant, she struggles with the fallout of her sudden reappearance and its effect on her marriage to her first husband, Frank. Meanwhile, in the 18th century, Jamie suffers from the aftermath of his doomed last stand at the historic battle of Culloden, as well as the loss of Claire. As the years pass, Jamie and Claire attempt to make a life apart from one another, each haunted by the memory of their lost love. The budding possibility that Claire can return to Jamie in the past breathes new hope into Claire’s heart… as well as new doubt. Separated by continents and centuries, Claire and Jamie must find their way back to each other. As always, adversity, mystery, and adventure await them on the path to reunion. And the question remains: when they find each other, will they be the same people who parted at the standing stones, all those years ago?”
While it’s unknown when “Outlander” Season 3 will return to Starz, this synopsis has fans so excited for the next season of the series, which has quickly become beloved by viewers.
