‘Outlander’ Spoilers: 5 Shocking Moments From Season 2, Episode 11 — ‘Vengeance Is Mine’

While some “Outlander” fans still aren’t over poor Angus’ death two episodes back, another big death happened in Season 2, Episode 11, titled “Vengeance Is Mine,” and so much more.

We’re counting down the biggest moments from Saturday’s all-new episode of “Outlander,” and you won’t want to miss our top 5, because it was basically an awesome episode.

5.) Claire Taken By The Redcoats: “Outlander” fans watched as Claire and Jamie are forced to leave, along with their people, to head back to Inverness, per orders from Prince Charles. Along the way they are attacked by a group of British soldiers, who shot Rupert’s eye out. The group take refuge in a church, but it’s not long before the Redcoats find them. Claire offers to pretend to be their hostage, and they exchange her for their own safety, promising to come get her ASAP.

4.) Duke Of Sandringham Reappears: Claire is taken to the home of a wealthy British man, who is supposed to keep her safe on orders from the British captain. She soon learns that the man is the Duke of Sandringham. The Duke keeps quiet about Claire’s true identity, but thinks he may have ulterior motives.

3.) A Mary Reunion: While staying with the Duke, Claire, and “Outlander” fans, learn that Mary Hawkins is his Goddaughter, and is staying with him until she’s to be wed to yet another man she cares nothing for.

2.) A Final Betrayal: While trying to plead with the Duke to break Mary’s engagement, Claire learns that it was Sandringham and Compte De St Germain who organized the attack in Paris on the women, where Mary was raped. Claire also learns that the Duke has turned her in to the Redcoats, who are staging a trap for Jamie when he comes to rescue her.

1.) Off With His Head: Mary breaks Claire out of her room, and then helps her by telling Monroe, who has been helping Claire and Jamie to reunite, that the Redcoats are staging a trap. Mary also tells Monroe where Jamie can find Claire in the house. Jaime and Murtagh enter the house and a struggle ensues. Mary ends up killing the Duke’s man, who was the one who raped her, and then Murtagh chops off the Duke of Sandringham’s head and lies it at the feet of the women, fulfilling his promise to lay vengeance at their feet. The gang flees and the episode ends.

There are only two more episodes left in Season 2 of “Outlander,” and they are sure to be big with the Battle of Culloden just around the corner.
