Pharrel ‘Happy’ to be joinng ‘The Voice’
Pharrell is joining The Voice as the new replacement coach for the departed Cee Lo Green.
Pharrell’s new Voice gig was confirmed by NBC’s official Twitter account on Monday revealing that the Grammy-winning singer and producer will appear as a coach on Season 7 of the hit talent competition.
“Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach for SEASON 7,” the tweet read.
“This is going to be so fun,” the “Happy” hitmaker Pharrell, 40, responded to the announcement going public.

Pharrell will be joining returning coaches Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are currently filming Season 6 with coaches Shakira and Usher.
Pharrell is also featured on Daft Punk‘s fourth studio album Random Access Memories on songs “Get Lucky” and “Lose Yourself to Dance“.
Penning three new original songs, included alongside composer Heitor Pereira’s score, for the sequel Despicable Me 2. that include “Happy“, and “Scream” (featuring Cee Lo Green). His two original songs from the first film were also reprised on the soundtrack – “Despicable Me” and “Fun, Fun, Fun”.
In 2013, e also made new after appearing alongside T.I. on Robin Thicke‘s hit single “Blurred Lines“. The song has been a worldwide hit,sparking worldwide controversy bringing Pharrell to become the 12th artist in the chart’s history to simultaneously hold the number one and two positions with “Blurred Lines” and “Get Lucky”, respectively.
