For such a long time now Milwaukee Bucks’ superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has been working for the exact same position that the Bucks find themselves in tonight going into Game 6. Milwaukee is on the verge of winning the 2021 NBA Finals as they lead the Phoenix Suns 3 games to 2 games in this series.
The Bucks have a chance to close out the series tonight in Milwaukee in front of all their fans in the arena and in the Deer District as well. One thing Giannis Antetokounmpo has stuck to his whole career is his mindset. He does not get ahead of himself and always stays humble and level-headed.
“It’s hard, man, Antetokounmpo said with a smile after Monday’s practice at Fiserv Forum. But this is the time that you have to be the most disciplined. That’s what I’m going to try to do. I’m going to try to be as disciplined as possible.” the two-time MVP told ESPN. We will see if he stays that way or the thought of being a champion is just too great to suppress.
Is Chris Paul the key to a Suns’ victory?
Looking at the Suns’ perspective it is not ideal. They are down 3-2 and are on the road against a team who has only lost one home game all postseason. Devin Booker has had two 40 point games but they both ended up as losses and in a do-or-die situation, will he be able to make the big shots and the right plays?
In addition, Chris Paul may be the answer. If the Suns want to take this series to a Game 7 Paul will have to leave everything on the court in Game 6. The team will need him to be hitting his shots and making the right passes at every turn. Of course, they will need Booker and Ayton too but it may need to be the Chris Paul show for Game 6.
This series has been an absolute battle and is already a classic but there is still some basketball left to be played and it could really go either way. Fans saw the Suns win two in a row and the Bucks win three in a row looking to make it four. It is safe to say that this series is indeed not over as the Suns could make a complete comeback or at least take it to seven games. Either way, this series has been one of the best that NBA fans have seen in years.
