On Sunday the Phoenix Suns took on the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. The Suns were without hall of fame bound point guard Chris Paul and the Clippers were without their franchise player Kawhi Leonard. But Phoenix and L.A. still had aces up their sleeves with Devin Booker and Paul George.

Booker posted his first career triple-double in Game 1 with 40 points, 11 assists and 13 assists and was also the first Suns’ playoff triple-double since legendary point guard Steve Nash.

George, who of late has been getting a lot of slander for his playoff performances scored 24 points with 5 assists and 4 rebounds but it still was not enough to steal a road win in Game 1 as the Suns ran away with the game-winning 120 to 114. “With the win, the Suns grab the early momentum in this series as they look to defend their home floor and put themselves in a position to advance to the NBA Finals. These two teams will meet again on Tuesday night with the opening tip scheduled for 9 p.m. ET,” according to CBS Sports.

Game 1 was for the most part dominated by Phoenix but at some points could have gone either way. Devin Booker was just a dominant force in last night’s game and it seemed like he just could not miss a shot as well as making the right passes on every possession.

The Suns rebounding was also fantastic as Ayton had 9 rebounds and the team combined had 43 seven of which were offensive. The Suns also had 31 assists as a team as they were completely unselfish and made the right plays time and time again. That includes the defensive end of things as they forced 9 turnovers, had 3 blocks, and 5 steals.

Phoenix played a complete game last night and it really showed their numbers were great and even more importantly they got the win to give them even more momentum on this amazing playoff push. Even without Chris Paul, the Suns seem to continue to truck along and fans can’t wait to see Paul back on the floor soon. Reportedly the earliest Chris Paul can come back is game 4 but if the suns continue to play as well as they have been CP3 might only great to play one game against his former team in the Western Conference Finals.
