“Pretty Little Liars” fans are feeling the time crunch, as there are only a handful of episodes until the show’s series finale, and with A.D. still on the loose, it seems that anything could happen to wrap up the series. However, will one of the girls actually meet their end? Actress Troian Bellisario, who plays Spencer Hastings on “PLL” says she actually asked if her character could be killed off!
Troian Bellisaro revealed to W Magazine that she rallied to have Spencer killed off “Pretty Little Liars,” saying that the could would be “more interesting” if she were to die. The actress also said that she believed one of the girls would have to die, or ‘A’ would simply be putting them in danger only to save them time after time.
“I definitely tried [to get killed off]. A) You want a death scene, and B) On our show, your character becomes infinitely more interesting when you die. I honestly felt that for this world to be truly dangerous, one of the Liars would have to die. Otherwise, ‘A’ is just always putting them in danger and still saving them.”
Thankfully, it seems that Spencer is safe, at least for now. However, Troian Bellisaro is facing the same problem that many “Pretty Little Liars” fans are coming to terms with, and that is facing the end of the long-running series. Troian says it’s been a long and happy experience for her, and saying goodbye will be hard.
“I was 23 when we shot the pilot,” said Bellisario, who is now 31. “It’s longer than you go to high school for, it’s longer than you go to college; the only thing that has barely outlasted it in my life is the relationship with my now-husband. This will always be my family and my home. I know it will be so different from this point on, but I don’t know how I can really say goodbye to something that is so integral to me.”
