Prince Harry is reportedly heartbroken over the rift between he and his older brother, Prince William. The brothers always seem to be at the center of rumors and gossip, especially since Harry married American actress, Meghan Markle.
Since their wedding in May 2018, Harry has been breaking away from the Royal Family and their strict traditions. He and Megan moved away from the palace and even left the country to move to The United States.
Prince Harry ‘heartbroken’ over rift with Prince William
Journalist Tom Bradby, recently revealed that Harry is “heartbroken by the situation” with his brother, William, and the rest of the Royal Family, per Closer Magazine.
Bradby interviewed Meghan and Harry for the 2019 documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. He will appear on ITV’s Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh on Sunday. Durring the appearance he opens up about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
In a clip from the show, Bradby spoke about the couple and their break from the Royal Family back in March 2020.
“I think they are feeling better, yes…So are they unhappy? No, I think they are content, the things they are doing they are quite excited by. The situation with the family clearly isn’t ideal and it has been a very difficult year for them all. But are they unhappy out there? No, I don’t think that’s right, I think they are pretty happy actually, but I think they wrestle with their position in life, I think they all do. I think William does too, I don’t think he finds it easy,” he says.
William and Kate unhappy about Harry’s departure from the family
In January 2020 Meghan and Harry announced that they were stepping away from the family and the obligations that go with it. Prince Harry was allegedly already estranged from Prince William during this time. Things reportedly got worse after the announcement. Sources claim that Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, were unhappy. They allegedly didn’t like “the way” Harry and Meghan left the family.
“You have got to remember this isn’t just a family, it’s a firm. They are in the business of public service on a very elevated, exposed platform and to some extent, they are all locked in it together. And that creates lots of tensions that people perhaps do see relatively clearly from the outside, but at the same time they are trying to be a family and I am always acutely conscious of that and how complicated and frankly difficult it is,” Bradby remarked.
Fans know that William and Harry’s roles in the family tend to differ. William is the future King of England. William is in line behind his father, Prince Charles, who is currently 72-years-old.
Meanwhile, Harry is falls behind Charles and William as sixth in line. He also stands in line below William’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
This likely means that William’s duties and responsibilities within the family weigh heavier than that of Prince Harry.
