Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are looking to start yet another new chapter in their lives. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been laying relatively low over the year. However, they’re said to be ready for some changes moving forward.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want a fresh start
Us Weekly reports that Harry and Meghan have been under fire since exiting the Royal Family in 2020. However, the past few months have been a bit difficult for the couple as well. While the duo have been focused on their work and their family, they’re reportedly ready to return to the spotlight in a bigger way.
“They got their bearings back and are focused and recharged and ready to get back out there again,” a source told the outlet. The insider also added that “laying low really paid off” for the Sussexes.
One hurdle that Harry and Meghan had to overcome this year was their exit from their Spotify deal. Markle didn’t return for Season 2 of her podcast, “Archetypes,” and to make matter worse, Spotify exec Bill Simmons publicly criticized the royal couple. Meanwhile, the pair’s plans for an animated series about history’s most powerful women was also nixed at Netflix.

Bad publicity has followed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
In addition to the couple’s career woes, the two have also endured some bad publicity. In May, Harry and Meghan were involved in a scary situation. A car chase caused by paparazzi nearly caused a multiple-vehicle crash in New York City. Recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s hard times were made fun of in an episode of “Family Guy.” Following some tough times, the couple are now looking to the future.
“They’re coming up with more content and they’re very excited about what the future holds,” the source tells Us. “It’s been a learning curve and their dream of making it big in Hollywood is still alive and well.”
Sources tell the outlet that the pair are trying to “lighten up” when it comes to their outlook and public perception. In turn, they’re focused on their next move. That includes Markle’s work in her communities.
“Meghan has a new team around her, and they’ve been strategizing about what mediums will have the most impact,”one source said, adding that Meghan wants her work to be “rooted in giving back” and “philanthropy.”
Meghan & Harry still at odds with the Royal Family
Sadly, Meghan and Harry’s plan to reinvent themselves might not have worked where the Royal Family was concerned. As previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, the pair were not invited to King Charles’ 75th birthday bash.
