Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Want To Spend Christmas With King Charles

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may no longer be active members of the Royal Family. However, they’re still reportedly hoping to mend fences with the family, including Harry’s father King Charles. This may include spending Christmas in the UK.

Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spend Christmas in the UK?

According to OK! Magazine, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t received a formal invitation to spend the holidays with the Royal Family. However, sources claim that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wouldn’t decline an offer to see King Charles for Christmas.

“I can’t imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty. As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays,” an insider dished.

However, Harry and Meghan’s travel plans could be derailed because of the drama surrounding security and protection for the Sussexes.

“Without security or a place to stay in the U.K., they now need a ‘formal invitation’ from the king or Buckingham Palace to be able to stay on ‘protected property’ that has adequate security for the whole family,” a source added.

Charles is allegedly willing to make accommodations for Meghan and Harry

However, there is hope. A royal aid reportedly revealed that Charles would be prepared to host Meghan and Harry if he’s informed of travel plans for the couple.

“Temporary accommodation for Harry on the royal estate, which is covered by heightened protection, is likely to be made available for him, when feasible if requested for any short visits,” the aid explained.

Meanwhile, although King Charles may be willing to spend the holidays with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, other members of the Royal Family might not be so accepting. For instance, Prince William and Kate Middleton are said to be keeping their distance from the Sussexes when it comes to holiday planning.

Would Prince William and Kate Middleton skip royal Christmas?

Prince William and Kate Middleton allegedly aren’t on board for spending the holiday season with Meghan and Harry. Sources reveal that if the Sussexes were to show up for the Royals Christmas celebration, the Prince and Princess of Wales would opt out of spending the holiday at Sandringham with the rest of the family.

“It would certainly have the advantage of killing two birds with one stone; extending an olive branch to one son without causing difficulty to the other,” an insider stated, per OK!.

William is the next in line for the throne. It seems unlikely that he’d want to miss out on the Royal holiday traditions. However, it’s possible that he and Kate could spend the day with her parents instead.

It’s unlikely that the Prince and the “Suits” star will head to the UK for the holidays. However, many fans would like to see the Royals together for a sweet family event. Amid all of the drama of the past few years, it would be nice to see them getting along.
