Prince William and Kate Middleton have been busy with their royal duties and raising their three kids. However, they’re also getting ready for the holiday season. This means lots of family. Sadly, the family gatherings aren’t likely to include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Prince William and Kate Middleton won’t go out of their way for Harry & Meghan
William and Kate are said to be focused on their own lives amid the royal family rift with Harry and Meghan. The Prince and Princess of Wales are allegedly not expecting to spend the upcoming holidays with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, if they do, it won’t be Kate that extends the olive branch.
OK! Magazine reports that Kate has tried to make peace between the Harry and the Royal Family in the past. However, she was hurt by Meghan and Harry’s comments about her in the media.
“Catherine was deeply hurt by some of the things Harry said about her, particularly in his book, and unfortunately, because of these entrenched positions where neither side seems to want to make contact or the first move, I can’t see this rift healing any time soon,” royal expert Jennie Bond said.
Although Kate Middleton is said to be a very understanding and forgiving person, she may not be ready to forget the Sussexes’ comments just yet. “Catherine has played the peacemaker in the past and has brought William and Harry together, and I think that comes from her own family, and their values,” Bond explained.
“But I think she has got to a stage whereby she has had to take a step back. Things have gone too far, and she feels upset and, quite frankly, hurt and insulted,” she added.
The rest of the royals may not be ready to forgive Meghan & Harry either
Recently, it was revealed that King Charles is set to celebrate his 75th birthday with a big bash. Of course, many members of the Royal Family will be in attendance, including William and Kate. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly didn’t get an invitation to the party.
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are said to be trying their best to reinvent themselves after struggling with their business ventures. The couple once had several projects in the works. However, they’ve been cut from platforms such as Spotify and had plans nixed at Netflix. Now, they’re allegedly struggling financially.
The couple’s financial situation could ultimately lead them to move back to London. If they returned to the Royal Family they would be forced to reunite with Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, they’re not exactly leaving California just yet.
The Royal Family rift has been ongoing for years now. Fans still have hope that William and Kate will make amends with Harry and Meghan in the future. However, there’s no telling how long the feud could last.
