Priscilla Presley and actress Kim Basinger are working closely together protesting for a serious cause. The two celebrities are taking a big stand and going to any and all extremes to put a stop to the Korean dog meat trade. The protest took place early Tuesday in Los Angles according to TMZ reports and things got really graphic. Kim Basinger’s protest was very mild compared to the lengths the ex-wife of the late Elvis Presley took.
Basinger took her stand during by carrying a photo of dead dogs skinned and hanging on meat hooks to protest the dog meat trade in Korea. However, Priscilla Presley really meant business today and went as far as protesting while holding an actual dead dog.
Kim stated that the demonstration is about speaking out against what’s wrong … and killing dogs is definitely wrong. The actress added that she is well aware that the dog meat trade has been a part of Korean culture for many, many decades. However, she firmly believes that it is high time
this cruel practice comes to an end.
Numerous protestors from the group Last Chance for Animals held signs with graphic and disturbing photo reading “Stop Dog Meat” others including Priscilla Presley chose to hold what appeared to be dead canines. TMZ added that the dead canines carried at the protest by Presley and the other women were reported, “recently euthanized” and provided by a local vet for “shock factor.”

Priscilla Presley, 73, is best known as the wife of late entertainer Elvis Presley and reportedly remains quite busy working for her beliefs and causes. Since 2003, Presley has been the Ambassador of the Dream Foundation, a Santa Barbara-based wish-granting organization for
terminally ill adults and their families.
Priscilla is also an active member of the Church of Scientology. She also continues to work and run all of Elvis Presley’s Graceland and business
operations including the upcoming annual Candlelight Vigil Ceremony which occurs every year on August 16, the date Elvis died. As previously reported Elvis Presley Week will begin on August 9th and run thru August 18th along with Priscilla, Elvis’ only daughter Lisa Marie Presley and her children will be in attendance and included in the week-long festivities in Memphis.
Lisa Marie Presley will also be signing autographs, meeting fans. Fans hope that Lisa Marie will confirm the rumors and speculation that she is allegedly planning an upcoming Elvis Presley hologram tour. At this time there have been no official statements pertaining to the the possibility of the Elvis Presley hologram tour, however, we will continue to monitor and report any and all news updates.
