Priscilla Presley has reportedly contacted the Church of Scientology in hopes that they can convince her daughter Lisa Marie Presley to check into their drug treatment facility.
According to Radar Online Priscilla Presley is willing to go to any extremes to save Lisa Marie Presley from suffering the same tragic fate as her late father Elvis Presley.
As previously reported the Church of Scientology banned Lisa Marie because they feel she is “too much of a loose cannon’ for their organization due to her battle with drug addiction.
Lisa Marie admitted during her recent divorce proceedings that she had once again turned to drugs during her marriage to fourth husband. Not only has Lisa suffered through a nasty divorce and custody battle the only daughter of Elvis Presley has also suffered humiliating financial devastation.
Sources close to the Presley family allegedly revealed that “Priscilla saw how bad things were and did what she always does to save her daughter — turned to the church to get her back into line.”
Lisa’s drug use was at a dangerous level causing major alarm for the Presley family. Lisa herself admitted to using as many as 80 opiate pills a day on top of heavy drinking.
Priscilla Presley‘s reps have denied being in talks with the church, however, Radar states that family insiders state differently, adding that Priscilla and Lisa’s daughter Riley Keough have been begging Scientology bigwigs to accept her into their anti-drug program, Narconon.
“Priscilla wanted to put her there to get into an environment where she didn’t have access to that kind of stuff. Scientology trades on celebrity. To have the full set of Elvis’ blood relatives in the fold is too good an opportunity for them to pass up. And imagine the success story they could tell if they got Lisa Marie clean!”
Presley family fans have been expressing their concerns for Lisa Marie Presley for years and fear that if she doesn’t get the proper help to kick her demons once and for all she may suffer the same tragic demise as her father.
Rumors reveal that Priscilla Presley and Lisa Marie have not been getting along well for quite some time. Fans hope that Priscilla will be able to convince Lisa to get help. They are just not too sure that the Church of Scientology is the best answer for her troubled daughter.
