PUBG is changing the rules with its new update! Despite certain maps that had a comeback arena once you were dead in this Battle Royale game you stayed that way. Not anymore you don’t! With this new update, PUBG is bringing a brand new revival system called recall. Recall allows your teammates to bring a player back from the dead. According to Polygon.com, this will help “alleviate the sense of frustration felt upon death during team play,” said PUBG: Battlegrounds developer.
The Recall System
The Recall system is very straightforward. Once a player dies their teammates can go into their death box and grab an item called a Blue Chip. From there they would have to take that Blue Chip to a Blue CHip Tower. They could also use a rare item called a Blue Chip Transmitter to recall their dead teammates. You Can take a dead enemy’s Blue Chip to stop them from being recalled. Recall is limited to PUBG’s larger maps, such as Erangle, Miramar, and Deston.
The Other major factor in the 23.2 patch is the addition of Clans. To be able to make and join Clans you must have or buy PUBG PLUS. Clans are a new progression system where you can earn more EX and BP for playing with your Clanmates. Up to 100 people can join one Clan and it takes 15,000 Battle Points (BP) to create one. You Can name your Clan whatever you want and you can also make your own Clan Tags. Clan Tags will have new borders around them depending on the level of your Clan.
Blue Chip Towers will spawn randomly throughout the map with about 22 spawning in one game. However, your ability to use those towers will depend on the circle and the plane path. You can revive more than one member of your team at the same time but after one use the tower will have to recharge.
A good Change?
How will these Clue Chip Towers affect the gameplay? Will it make teams play more loosely and aggressively? With the fear of a permanent death out of the way, we should see much more aggressive matches on the maps that have the towers. It will be very interesting to see how the player base reacts to these changes. Will the feedback be positive and should the towers be on every map? Only time will tell how this new update will play out in the PUBG community.
