Shannon Beador of “Real Housewives of Orange County” found herself in big trouble over the weekend and is now facing the aftermath. The Bravo alum was arrested on September 17 after fleeing the scene of a collision that caused property damage. But that is not the only issue the reality television celebrity is dealing with. She has also been booked for two misdemeanors, which include hit and run and DUI alcohol.
Real Housewives of Orange County: Shannon Beador Arrested
According to TMZ reports, Newport Beach Police Department Shannon Beador of “Real Housewives of Orange County” was arrested at 1:17 a.m. on September 17 after fleeing the scene of an accident. As stated by the celebrity news site, Beador was stopped by officers after she allegedly drove her car onto a residential property in Newport Beach, hitting the home.
TMZ adds that they were told that Shannon then fled the scene before parking her case in the middle of teh street and exiting with her dog. They also add that their sources claim the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star pretended to be walking her dog when officers arrived on the scene.
Shannon’s car was seized, and she was arrested and taken to the nearby police station, where she was then booked for two misdemeanors … hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. She was cited and released without bond.
RHOC Alum Shannon Beador To Seek Counseling
According to People, Shannon Beador feels “ashamed and embarrassed” by her behavior. The “RHOC” star’s close pal, Jeff Lewis, updated fans during his SiriusXM talk show.
Lewis states, “Unfortunately, [Shannon] got a DUI on Saturday night. She was also in a car accident. She was injured, so she’s going to be recovering. She’s going to be entering counseling this week. So I’m happy about that.”
Bravo Star Accepts Full Accountability
Lewis implies that his “Real Housewives of Orange County” pal Shannon feels remorse and is prepared to accept “full accountability.” He continues, stating, “She is ashamed, she’s embarrassed. I personally, as her friend — cause people are like, ‘Oh, she needs rehab,’ ‘Oh, she’s an alcoholic.’
“I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic. Jeff continues, “I think she’s been going thorough a lot of personal struggles right now, and I think she has been leaning on alcohol. But I don’t think she’s an alcoholic.”
Currently, “RHOC” is not filming. However, over the years, Shannon’s drinking has been addressed many times during season 17. Despite the many references to her alleged issues with alcohol, Shannon also denies having a problem.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star’s attorney, Michael L. Fell, released an official statement stating, “I spent quite a bit of time with Shannon Beador yesterday. She is extremely apologetic and remorseful. We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
