Former Real Housewives of The OC star Lauri Peterson claims that her son Josh’s life is in danger and she fears he is going to be killed while in prison according to TMZ.
Lauri Peterson has been dealing with her troubled son Josh for many years. Fans of the RHOC watched in the early seasons as Lauri did everything within her power to get her son Josh on the right path.
Unfortunately, Josh continued down the dangerous path of drug addiction and violence which landed him behind prison walls in 2016. Lauri claims that Josh has been fighting for his life ever since.
Josh has been attacked numerous times by inmates, and according to his mom at least once by a prison guard. The latest attack on Josh was caught on security cameras and reveals that this attack was carefully planned out.
Lauri also believes that guards employed in the Orange County jail in Santa Ana are behind a lot of the violence. It has been claimed by Lauri that the cell unit where Josh resides is a protective custody unit and only permits one inmate out at a time for phone priveledges.
The video reveals Josh returning to his cell area following a phone call and his attacker hiding underneath the stairwell awaiting Josh’s return. Lauri feels that this was intentional on the guards’ part to allow for the attacker to have a chance to kill her son.
The attack left Josh with numerous slashes in the face and chest. The attacker wielded razor blades wrapped in a towel. It was 90 seconds before guards rushed in and broke up the fight.
Josh’s attorney is claiming the attack and attempt on Josh’s life could be retaliation against Josh for filing a federal lawsuit against Orange County and its Sheriff’s Department for violating his civil rights while he’s been behind bars.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department tells TMZ that the attack is an opened a criminal investigation. Josh has a long road ahead of him in prison. He was first locked up in 2016 after being accused of shooting a man at the sober living home where he was living. He is being charged with attempted murder and faces life in prison if convicted.
This is a very difficult time for Lauri Peterson and family who feel as their hands are tied when it comes to protecting her son while in prison.
