Rocker Alice Cooper claims that he believes his longtime friend actor Johnny Depp would be the perfect person to play him in a biopic about his life according to Express U.K.
Alice Cooper has made Johnny Depp his choice for a few reasons, First off, the two are very good friends, and secondly, Johnny and Alice share a common interest in music.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star and Cooper are also fellow Hollywood Vampire bandmates. At 72, Alice recently joked in a new interview stating, “If Johnny Depp were just better looking, he could play me…
“Johnny would be the best guy to play me because he really likes to take the characters that nobody else wants to play.
“And he loves prosthetics, he would get my nose in there, and the whole thing like that.
“He knows me well enough now where he could imitate me pretty well, I’m pretty sure.”
Cooper also revealed that he would be excited to see a biopic about his life, but added he just hopes that should someone decide to make a film about his life it would not be “one of those where you have to die first.”
“But, usually, it’s going to happen with bands that were extremely commercially successful. Whereas Alice was successful and we sold a lot of records, but I did not appeal to everybody.
“I was definitely on the darker side, and I think that would make a great movie, myself.”
Johnny Depp has had a rough past few years especially when it comes to his personal life. In 2016 Johnny and then, current wife Amber Heard began what has become one of the nastiest public celebrity divorces of the century.
The couple married in 2015 in Los Angeles and the problems between them started quickly. Heard and Depp have different personalities and they couldn’t overcome, so the couple ended in the worst way: she sued him for domestic violence asking for police protection.
Despite Depp and Heard reaching a divorce settlement in August 2016, Johnny and Amber have battled against each other in civil court with allegations of domestic abuse and defamation.
