Actress Sally Field is reportedly ready to leave Hollywood once and for all to live a quiet life in France according to National Enquirer reports.
It is claimed that Field is ready to give up all the glamour and glitz associated with Hollywood and prefers to spend her golden years in a small country cottage located in France.
Sources close to Field have allegedly stated that Sally just needs to get away from Hollywood to focus on her. They also claim that Sally has been through a lot of tough times and Hollywood is just a cruel reminder of things and people she would rather forget. Field’s rep has denied the claims despite what the alleged source claims. At this time Sally Field is promoting her new memoir book entitled “In Pieces” where she was forced to relive abusive childhood memories and losing one of the most important men in her life, Burt Reynolds.
As previously reported Burt Reynolds died in a Florida hospital last September. Up until his death, Reynolds often mentioned Sally Field in just about every interview he had given calling her the “love of his life.”
“I miss her terribly. Even now, it’s hard on me. I don’t know why I was so stupid. Men are like that, you know. You find the perfect person, and then you do everything you can to screw it up,” Reynolds said of Field at the time.
In her book, Sally reveals that she is not by nature a confessional person; despite the visibility she has gained from a decades-long acting career — she has won three Emmys and two Oscars, and starred in films like Murphy’s Romance, Steel Magnolias, Forrest Gump and Norma Rae she found it easier to speak through her outspoken characters than put herself on display.
Sally Field has often described herself as a loner, and with two divorces under her belt the 72-year-old actress could very well enjoy living on her own. Whatever decision Sally makes, one thing is for sure if she decides to give up acting she will be greatly missed by many.
