Scandal season 4 may still be a long way off, but fans are already wondering how writers will handle the fact that Olivia Pope took off with her sort-of boyfriend Jake at the end of season 3.
Scandal season 4 spoilers: Will there be another time jump?
In the past, the series jumped 10 months, in that time Olivia and President Fitz did not have any contact, but when they did, the same spark was still there between them.
Olivia can’t be gone too long, right?
Now that Olivia and Jake are gone, and Pope has quit her job at OPA it seems that another time jump may be in order to kick off Scandal season 4, because, well, what’s the fun of the show if Liv isn’t in Washington stirring things up?
What about Fitz’s presidency?
The only problem with another time jump is that it will cut into the time that Fitz is in office. Come on, a president only gets four years, and since it’s already his second term, who knows what’s to come when and if Fitz gets out of the White House.
