“Scandal” Season 5 debuts this fall, and fans can’t wait to find out what is going on with Olivia Pope and President Fitzgerald Grant after their big Season 4 season finale reunion.
‘Scandal’ Season 5 Spoilers: Olivia and Fitz Together For Good?
According to HNGN, “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes recently spoke out about the new season, and revealed that it would pick up right where Season 4 left off. This means that we’ll be seeing a lot of Olivia and Fitz, but what about Mellie?
“The world had been fairly blown apart for everybody except Olivia and Fitz,” Rhimes said. “Everybody else was in a fairly blown apart place… We pick up right there in that environment and we see what’s happens next.”
Mellie and Fitz Divorce?
“Scandal” fans will remember that Fitz threw Mellie out of the White House after learning about her part in the jury slaughter. He also fired Cyrus for the same reason. It looks like Olivia is the only person in Fitz’s life he can actually trust right now. This means that he could actually hire Liv back as an advisor so that she can help fix the messy his cabinet is in right now.
Meanwhile, Mellie is on her own political run and could use a possible split from Fitz as a positive if spun correctly. On the other hand, Fitz and Liv could go on hiding their relationship like they used to in hopes of being together once he is out of office. However, we do think Olivia would make a stunning First Lady. Just saying…
