‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’ children’s book to become a movie
Remember reading “Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark” at sleepovers and camp outs when the lights were turned down low and then totally freaking out with your friends? Well, you’re in luck, because you can relive all the spooky stories soon when the movie hits theaters.
John August is set to write the screenplay for the popular children’s book, which has sold over seven million copies world-wide, and with the release of the movie that number is sure to spike, Deadline reports.
Alvin Schwartz’s famous kids’ book to spook everyone
“Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark” author, Alvin Schwartz wrote the book back in 1981 and followed it up with “More Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark” in 1984 and “Scary Stories 3: More Tales To Chill Your Bones,” in 1991. This could mean that if the movie does well, one or two sequels could be in store for the franchise.
There is no official word as of yet about when the spooky movie will be released, but check back at Hollywood News Daily for any and all updates on the movie.
