A “Schitt’s Creek” revival may be in the works. The series, created by Dan Levy and his father, Eugene Levy, is a huge favorite among fans. The show focused on the Rose family, a wealthy and out-of-touch brood who are forced to find a new lease on life after losing their fortune. (A real-life wealthy family even inspired the show). Dan Levy played the iconic David Rose, who was unapologetically himself. The show struck a chord with viewers for several reasons. Whether they loved that the LGBTQIA+ community was being represented or they fell in love with the characters. Now, there’s a chance that David and company may be returning to screens.
Meanwhile, the show’s producer Andrew Barnsley told The Messenger that the Levy men are considering a way to bring the series back to life. “It’s something that we know there’s demand and interest for it, really,” he said. “It’s something that I know Dan and Eugene are considering all the time, and I think it’s going to be a timing thing.”

A Schitt’s Creek revival is being considered
Barnsley went on to admit that the Levy’s don’t want to compromise the original series. Instead, they would want to ensure that a “Schitt’s Creek” revival or movie would add value to the gem they created. “The fear is, does it tarnish the legacy to go back and revisit them in the way that maybe the Entourage movie did?” the producer added.
When fans last saw the Rose family they were headed off into the next chapters of their lives. David had married the love of his life Patrick, and they were happily running their business. Alexis was set to move to New York and pursue her public relationships career. Meanwhile, Stevie was staying put and running the motel. Meanwhile, Johnny was on his way back up in the business world. Of course, Moira was also having a career comeback, earning a spot on a TV series.
What would the characters be doing in a reboot?
“Schitt’s Creek” ended with a sweet, happy, and emotional series finale. However, there could be so much more stories to tell for these characters. Do David and Patrick have children? Does Alexis’ career take off? Does Stevie find the peace she was craving? Meanwhile, Johnny and Moira’s comebacks need to be documented, right?
“Schitt’s Creek” fans will just have to wait for more news about a possible reboot or movie. Until that that, reruns will have to do.
