‘Schitt’s Creek’ Revival Movie Teased By Dan Levy

Dan Levy teases 'Schitt's Creek' revival movie.

Schitt’s Creek may return in the form of a revival movie. The beloved comedy series stole the hearts of viewers for six seasons with it’s unique style of comedy and wacky characters. When it ended fans were sad, and immediately wanted more. Now, there’s a chance that they could get their wish.

The show’s creator and star, Dan Levy, recently opened up about the possibility of a Schitt’s Creek revival movie. The actor, who played the role of David Rose on the series, revealed to People Magazine that he would be on board to bring back the characters to continue the story if he could find the right way to do so.

Dan Levy talks ‘Schitt’s Creek’ revival movie

“I don’t think there’s a single person on our team, cast or crew, that wouldn’t want to come back for a movie. At the same time, I think the success of the show really was tied so closely to the care that was put into it and the quality that was put into it. If I can come up with an idea that I think builds on what we’ve already done in a way that feels good and exciting and new and fresh and challenges our actors, then great. I go to sleep willing that idea to come to me,” Levy stated.

The show originally aired on the Pop network. When it began streaming on Netflix it’s gained a whole new legion of fans who absolutely love the series.

The show centers around David Rose and his eccentric family, who fell from grace after losing all of their money. The Rose’s are then forced to move to the small town of Schitt’s Creek, where they have a hard time adjusting to life without riches.

In addition to the family members, there are a plethora of supporting characters that are just as lovable. Viewers grew to love each and every one of them, and would love to see what they have been doing since the series ended.

Warning: ‘Schitt’s Creek’ series finale spoilers

The series finale of the show saw David and the love of his life Patrick getting married. Meanwhile, his mother Moira took a job on the revival of her former soap opera in L.A., and of course, his father Johnny tagged along with her. David’s sister, Alexis, also took a new job in New York City, leaving her family behind.

David, Patrick, and their friend Stevie all stayed behind in Schitt’s Creek to run their businesses and continue to build their lives. It was a happy ending. However, it seems that there could be so much more to the story if Dan Levy decides to write it.
