Scott Baio has revealed his wife Renee has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Baio stated that his wife has a meningioma brain tumor via Facebook posting,”Although 90 percent of these type of tumors are benign they can cause serious problems depending on the size of the tumor and the location. We are waiting to learn the exact location to see if it’s operable,” the Scott Baio posted this week.

Scott Baio has asked for prayers and positive thoughts during this difficult time. “My wife is my rock. She refuses to even shed one tear, nor will she question God’s will. Renee, Bailey and I will get through this and along the way maybe help educate others to get checked out (MRI with contrast) as 6500 people each year, mostly women get these tumors, added Scott.

Meningiomas are among the most common types of brain tumors, occur most often between ages 40 and 70 and are usually noncancerous, but can still cause serious health complications and even death depending on their size or location, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
Treatment can involve surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.Signs and symptoms include vision changes, headaches that worsen with time, loss of hearing memory or smell, seizures and weakness of limbs, according to the Mayo Clinic.
The “Happy Days” actor and his wife Renee have been married more than seven years. In 2007, Baio starred in the successful VH1 celebrity reality series “Scott Baio Is 45…and Single” and its successor the following year,” Scott Baio Is 46…and Pregnant.” The reality series focused on Scott and Renee’s trip down the aisle, and later on Baio and his wife, Renee, as he copes with the realization of becoming a first-time father to a baby girl at the age of 46. Scott and Renee have been married since 2007 and have a 7-year-old daughter, Bailey DeLuca.
