‘Sex And The City’ Revival Spoilers: Funeral Scene Sparks Speculation About Character’s Death

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker

The “Sex and The City” revival titled “And Just Like That” has fans excited to see what became of characters such as Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), and the men who love them. When the project was announced, it was confirmed that actress Kim Cattrall wouldn’t return to reprise her character, Samantha Jones. While it hasn’t been revealed how Samantha will be written off the show, one recently filmed scene has everyone talking.

According to Hello! Magazine, the “Sex and the City” reboot is currently filming in New York City. Recently, the cast of the series was spotted wearing all black as they seemingly filmed a funeral scene for the show, and a TikTok user documented. Could it be that one of our beloved characters is no longer with us? The obvious thought is that the series is killing off Samantha, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in the original series.

“I was walking down the street in New York City and saw a huge crowd and realised [sic] they were filming for Sex And The City. But everyone was wearing all black. Is it for Samantha’s funeral?” the TikToker stated.

Will a major character die during the ‘Sex and the City’ revival ‘And Just Like That’

While it’s completely possible that Samantha will pass away during the course of “And Just Like That,” some fans have another theory. It was rumored that Mr. Big a.k.a. John James Preston (Chris Noth) was supposed to die in a plot for the unmade “Sex and the City 3″ movie. This left some viewers wondering if they used that storyline for the upcoming revival.

“Mr Big was supposed to die of a heart attack in the third movie, which never happened. They might have gone in a different direction for the new show,” another TikTok user commented.

As previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, a leaked script for “And Just Like That” revealed that Carrie and Big are going through a nasty divorce during the show, and that Carrie now has her own podcast. As for the rest, that’s anybody’s guess, but the “SATC” revival can’t get here quick enough!
