‘Sex And The City’ Revival Spoilers Reveal Carrie & Big’s Surprising Fate

Sex and The City revival cast

Fans are completely stoked for the “Sex and The City” revival, which is being called “And Just Like That.” The show will focus on Sarah Jessica Parker’s iconic character Carrie Bradshaw and her two best friends, Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon). Sadly, the other original cast member, Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) isn’t returning for the revival.

In addition to three of the four main stars coming back, other familiar faces will also be back in the mix, including Carrie’s longtime love, “Mr. Big,” played by actor Chris Noth. However, things between Carrie and Big will be even more complicated this time around.

According to Page Six, a leaked script for “And Just Like That” reveals that Carrie and Big won’t be together in the revival. In fact, they’ll be embattled in a messy divorce. It seems that Carrie, now in her 50s, now hosts her own podcast and is reportedly fighting over finances with Big following their split.

Carrie & Big’s relationship status will leave some viewers shocked

Carrie and Big married in the first “SATC” movie and endured some ups and downs in the second film. However, fans who wanted to see the couple live happily ever after may not get their wish.

In the scene that was liked, Carrie is depicted as having dinner with her pals, Miranda, Charlotte, and Stanford Blatch (Will Garson). Carrie explains that she’s having a hard time with the end of her marriage, and vents to her closest pals about the situation.

“I was taping the podcast, I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage. Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?” Carrie says.

Meanwhile, actor John Corbett is also returning to the revival to reprise his character Aiden Shaw, TVLine reports. Aiden was a favorite among fans, as he and Carrie had a rocky relationship and were even engaged for a while before she called off the wedding and eventually went running back to Big. Now that Carrie and Big are divorcing, will she reunite with Aiden, whom she shared a romantic moment with in the second “Sex and The City” film?

Currently, a release date for the “Sex and The City” revival “And Just Like That” has yet to be confirmed.
