Shannen Doherty has officially signed on to join her former “Beverly Hills 90210” cast members in the 2019 Fox reboot titled “BH90210” according to E! Doherty will be joining forces with Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering and Jason Priestly in a six-episode reboot series that will air later this fall on Fox.
Along with a starring role, Shannen Doherty will also serve as an executive producer along with her cast mates. Shannen is best known for role as Brenda Walsh, the twin sister of Brandon played by Priestly. The show is described as a “brand-new serialized drama–with a healthy dose of irreverence–that is inspired by their real lives and relationships with each other.”
Shannen also took to social media sharing an iconic throwback photo of the gang from Beverly Hills. It has been nearly two decades since” Beverly Hills 90201″ first aired. Sadly there will be one major key role player missing from the gang…Luke Perry, who played bad boy Dylan McKay.

As previously reported Luke Perry died in early March after suffering a massive stroke in his California home on February 27. However, prior to his passing Perry had not signed on to the series, but was scheduled to appear as a guest.
It is not known at this time as to how the BH90210″ reboot series will address the absence of heartthrob Dylan McKay/Luke Perry on the series reboot. It is however revealed that the show will pay respect to Luke and his character Dylan McKay.
Tori Spelling stated earlier this year that the show is not technically a reboot.
“We don’t want to be the last ones like doing the reboot thing, and no one wants to see like old versions of ourselves, but they do want to see us playing our characters, so what we’re doing is the entire cast is playing heightened versions of themselves.”
Tori Spelling took to Instagram to share her sheer delight and the news that all of the former “Beverly Hills 90210” women, including Shannen Doherty will be working together once again for the first time in many years.
“Beverly Hills 90210” originally ran from 1990 to 2000 on Fox. “BH90210” will air this summer on Fox.
