Shannon Beador, star of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” has a lot on her mind following her recent DUI arrest this week. The reality television personality is said to be experiencing a lot of worry and fear. But her fans may be surprised to find out her biggest concern.
Real Housewives of Orange County: Shannon Beador Suffers Anxiety and Fear Following Dui Arrest
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Shannon Beador was arrested on September 17. The Bravo star was taken into custody on Saturday morning after allegedly driving her vehicle into a house and fled the scene.
She was picked up by Newport Beach PD and taken to the nearby police station, where she was then booked for two misdemeanors … hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. She was cited and released without bond.
New details surrounding Shannon’s arrest are emerging, and things are growing more interesting by the day. According to Radar Online, the “RHOC” cast member was injured during the crash, leaving Shannon Beador’s face a mess per the website’s sources.
Shannon reportedly suffered a broken arm, severe bruising, and facial lacerations. The cuts required stitches, and now Shannon is in a state of panic. The “RHOC” informant says that Shannon’s biggest fear is that she will need plastic surgery on her face. She is already allegedly considering contacting a plastic surgeon on the matter.
RHOC: Shannon Is Going To Rehab…Sort Of
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is also reportedly planning on seeking help… well, some help. New reports state Shannon Beador has decided to enter rehab following her arrest to seek help with alcohol issues.
The unknown source says that after months of previously ignoring her friends’ pleas to get help, Shannon is finally ready to listen. However, some do not believe Shannon Beador is taking this as seriously as she should.
Regarding rehab, according to the Beador source, the star has “not fully decided on if she will do in-patient treatment or out-patient. She says she has a family to care for, a dog who needs her, and her work projects.”
What Legal Consequences Could Shannon Beador Face?
Shannon Beador’s legal problems may not be as severe as many would think, per TopLawyer.Law in the State of California: A first-offense DUI in California is a misdemeanor with the following first DUI penalties: Fine for first DUI: 3 to 5 years of probation, $390.00 to $1000.00 in fines plus penalty assessments, DUI school, a 6-month driver’s license suspension, and installation of an ignition interlock device.
First DUI jail time: up to 6 months. Many California counties have a policy of jailing first-time DUI offenders for 48 hours, but others may only impose probation and community service in lieu of jail time. If you refuse testing, you likely face at least 2-4 days in jail.

As for the alleged hit and run with DUI. A hit-and-run violation and a DUI are separate charges that can result in fines and jail time in California courts. In other words, a hit-and-run will be punished with additional charges and penalties for a DUI.
Shannon Beador’s attorney, Michael L. Fell, released an official statement stating, “I spent quite a bit of time with Shannon Beador yesterday.” He says “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star is “extremely apologetic and remorseful. We will await the official information on this case as it becomes available.” He adds, “Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”

So, for now, Shannon Beador’s legal consequences remain in the air. This will allow her plenty of time to prepare herself mentally for court, go to rehab, and possibly undergo that plastic surgery if need be.
