Sophia Bush is leaving her role as Detective Erin Lindsay on NBC’s Chicago PD. In the Season 4 finale, it was revealed that Erin had landed a job with the FBI in New York, and it seems that she’ll be off to The Big Apple, because Bush is exiting the show. Could this free her up for a possible One Tree Hill revival? Fans certainly hope so!
According to Fansided, Sophia Bush is beloved by One Tree Hill fans. Bush, who played the role of Brooke Davis on all nine seasons of the show, has stated in the past that she would consider returning to the series for a revival, but that she didn’t have time because of her commitment to Chicago PD. Well, her situation has changed now, and fans are already buzzing about a possible OTH reunion.
Let’s examine all the reasons why One Tree Hill should have a revival. First off, the cast totally love each other. In fact, they often hold fan conventions and stage reunions. They’re together all the time. They still have close friendships, and who wouldn’t want to work with their friends again? Secondly, revivals are huge right now. The critics may not love them, but the fans sure do! Girl Meets World, Fuller House, Roseanne, Twin Peaks, Will and Grace, and the list goes on. Fans want more One Tree Hill, and they would definitely tune in to see it!

Finally, the franchise could go in so many directions. Of course, the should could return in the same capacity as fans watched for nine seasons, or it could take place after the events of the flash forward in the series finale. As many One Tree Hill fans will remember, the series finale showed Nathan, Haley, Brooke, Julian, and the rest of the gang at Jamie Scott’s high school basketball game. Of course he was a Tree Hill Raven, and had already broken the scoring record held by his father, Nathan Scott. Fans would love to see the gang parent their own teenagers in Tree Hill! However, they’d want Lucas and Peyton to return with their daughter Sawyer as well!
