The moment Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse hit the theaters fans wanted to see more of Miles Morales. Miles, aka Spider-Man, stole the hearts of fans with a fresh new take on the Spider-Man franchise. We had to wait five years to see what happened in Miles’ next journey, but Across The Spider-Verse somehow topped the first movie! With a cliffhanger ending, anticipation for the third movie is now at an all-time high!
Many fans are worried that the writer’s strike may interfere with Beyond The Spider-Verse’s March 29th, 2024 release. That may be the case, but we have not heard any bad news about some kind of delay for the third installment. Recently one of the film’s stars, Jake Johnson (Peter B. Parker) was asked what he could say about the film. He did not disappoint and promised excellency!
Big Words From Jake Johnson!
“Here’s what I can promise, and I said it about the second one when we were in the middle of it: Phil Lord, Chris Miller, everybody, the producers on this, the directors they’re going to bring in … What they did on the first one is all the directors became executive producers.”
“So they just keep adding to it. What I can promise is they are not going to stop until it’s excellent, “And if that means it takes a little bit longer, if that means it’s even bigger, if that means it’s longer — they don’t play by anybody’s rules.”
“They work really hard. As actors in it, we’re always shocked that we get called in to record on this last one. I think it was a month before it screened, where we could not believe we were still recording. So they’re not going to quit until it’s great and I have nothing but faith in them. But in terms of giving anything away [about the story], can’t do it.” according to GeekTyrant.com.
The Spider-Man Hype Is Real!
This is extremely refreshing to hear! The studio releases that they have a hit, and they are not going to let some deadline determine the quality of this film. Fans knew that this next movie would be a hit, but it is still nice to have some kind of reassurance. As for the March 29th deadline, as of right now, that is still the release date. If anything changes it will be for the good of the movie! The Spider-Man and Spider-Verse Franchise is in great hands!
