Tom Holland loves playing Spider-Man, but a small part of him wants to walk away from it all. With talks of a Spider-Man 4 with Holland, Tom has stated that he does not want to mess up his trilogy. With the Spider-Man hype at an all-time high since the release of Across The Spider-Verse what is next from this franchise?
Tom Is Worried
According to IGN.com, Holland is proud of his work in the first three movies and is very hesitant about a 4th. Even if the higher-ups at Marvel have a good idea for the film. “I think we found the reason [we would do another film],” he said. “I’m really, really happy with where we’re at in terms of the creative. But I’m also a little apprehensive about it.
“There’s a bit of a stigma about the fourth one in all franchises. I feel like we hit a home run with our first franchise and there’s a part of me that wants to walk away with my head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid that gets to bring this character to life.”
Tom would then go on to say that there is a part of him that wants to walk away with his head held high. The writer’s strike is currently placing any conversations of a Spider-Man 4 on hold for the time being. So it will be a while before we hear anything concrete on a potential 4th Spider-Man film. It is rumored that There is a story that has already been developed for a 4th movie. Although that is not officially confirmed.
Delays On Everything
Everything is currently being pushed back due to this strike. Most recently we saw the final phase 6 Marvel film pushed back an entire year. Avengers: Secret Wars is now set to release in 2027. Spider-Man is a beloved franchise. People love Tom Holland as Spidey. A 4th film would not be a bad idea at all moving forward.
With the newest Spider-Man game coming out in October of this year fans are all in on the web-slinger. Across the Spider-Verse was a huge hit as well. People can not get enough of this quippy crime fighter. Anything they put out will be an instant hit with all the webheads around the world. It will be very interesting to see what happens with a potential 4th movie starring Tom Holland. Only time will tell if we will actually get one.
