Star Wars Ahsoka: Ashley Eckstein Addresses Cameo Rumors

Star Wars: Ahsoka is right around the corner! With that being said, we do not know a whole lot about this upcoming series. Recently there have been rumors surrounding the voice of Ahsoka Tano, Ashley Eckstein. Ashley voiced Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Star Wars Tales Of The Jedi. Eckstein is loved by Star Wars fans and they are hoping she makes some kind of cameo in the Ahsoka series.

No Cameo For Ashley?

Unfortunately, Ashley Eckstein has debunked the rumors of her making a cameo in Star Wars: Ahsoka. While she was invited to the set and loved her experience she stated that she did not film a cameo. “I was invited for a set visit. It wasn’t a cameo! I want to set the record straight. Everyone thinks I’m dropping a hint, but unfortunately, I don’t have a cameo in the first season. I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed and throwing my dreams out into the universe that maybe if there’s a season 2 or some sort of spin-off that I’ll eventually do a cameo, but I did get to visit the set.” as reported by ScreenRant.com.

Ashley was clearly very excited to see Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano. She compared the experience to Jodi Benson visiting the set of the new The Little Mermaid film. Dawson was honored with playing Ahsoka Tano when she made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian Season 2. Tano then made another appearance in The Book Of Boba Fett. There she was seen alongside Luke Skywalker. This was a legendary scene for any Star Wars fan. Being able to see the padawan and the son of the chosen one together was amazing.

All we know about Star Wars: Ahsoka so far is that it will be a kind of extension of the Rebels series. Characters like Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and Grand Admiral Thrawn will make appearances. Thrawn seeming to be the main villain once again has fans very excited. The return of Thrawn may be hinting at some kind of adaptation of the Heir To The Empire books. Although they are not canon they are loved by fans and are called the “original sequels” by many.

Maybe In a Season 2

Even with Ashley not making a cameo in the Ahsoka series fans are still very excited. It is also important to note that Eckstein said “in Season 1” of Ahsoka. Is she hinting that there are already plans for a Season 2? If so, maybe that is where she could play some kind of part. It will be very interesting to see as for right now there has been no news of a Season 2. Ahsoka will start streaming on August 23rd via Disney Plus.
