Star Wars Ahsoka: New Trailer Shows Familiar Faces

Star Wars: Ahsoka finally has a new trailer! After a few days of teasing, Disney has finally released what is probably the last Ahsoka series trailer. We finally get to see Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka reunite with some fan-favorite characters. In the trailer, we see many familiar faces from the animated series Star Wars: Rebels. Characters such as Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, Ezra Bridger, and Grand Admiral Thrawn.

News On The Ahsoka Series

According to Gizmodo.com, Ahsoka will take place during the same time as The Mandalorian Season 3. We see Tano and Wren reunite as this will be their second time trying to find the young Jedi Ezra Bridger. We see this at the end of Star Wars: Rebels as well. The difference is that this will be the second time Ahsoka and Sabine will be looking for their lost friend. The pair previously split after their first attempt did not go as planned.

Now, with Ahsoka hearing rumors of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s return, she needs Sabine to help her track him down. Ahsoka and Sabine will have to work out their issues with each other and themselves if they wish to survive the dangers of the galaxy. Inquisitors and a pair of Dark Force users are trying to stop the duo. With Dave Filoni at the helm of this show, it is the perfect opportunity to get everyone in place for his big crossover movie. Filoni’s movie will involve Luke Skywalker, Din Djarin, Ashoka, and whoever else is around during the New Republic era.

Filoni and Heir To The Empire

Everything seems to be setting up a Heir To The Empire movie or movies. Heir To The Empire is a popular book series that is not canon for now. Many fans deemed this series “The Original Sequels.” They follow Luke Skywalker as he attempts to stop Thrawn from destroying the New Republic. Although this is a non-canon event it seems like Dave Filoni is using these books as his source material.

It will be very interesting to see how the events of Star Wars: Ahsoka shape up. Will Thrawn win in this series? Setting up Filini’s movie and the characters needing the help of Luke Skywalker? We will have to wait and see what happens as Star Wars: Ahsoka is set to release on August 23rd. It seems to be very action-packed with plenty of big fights. The Ahsoka series seems to be shaping up very well! Stream Ashoka on Disney Plus
