There is a very good reason that most Star Wars and video game fans are going crazy about the news of a Knights Of The Old Republic remake and it is because the originals are one of the best Star Wars stories told outside the movies.
One person, in particular, is very excited about the game and that person is Suicide Squads’ James Gunn. He greeted the news with a smile and then went on to say that this was his favorite game and playing the original was one of the happiest moments of his life.
“Knights of the Old Republic is worth all the praise. The games came hot on the heels of the wobbly prequel trilogy and gave disappointed Star Wars fans a new story that wasn’t linked to the Skywalker Saga and could stand alone. They provided a compelling and well-written perspective on the Force, introduced a whole bunch of interesting characters, and – most importantly – allowed players to explore the Light Side/Dark Side morality for themselves,” reports We Got This Covered.
A remake of the game should be able to capture all of those aspects and make them even better. The Company working on the KOTOR remake is the same company the remastered the Republic Comando game. Aspyr Media hopes to make a great experience for players in this iconic Star Wars game remake.

Gamers are looking forward to Star Wars’ new Knights Of The Old Republic Remake
The original game came out in 2003 and was a huge success away from the Skywalker saga even though the Skywalker family is loved by almost all Star Wars fans. The most loved feature of the game was being able to choose between the light and dark sides.
Being able to choose to be the “bad guy” in a Star Wars game was a first for Lucasfilm games, and it was widely loved by the community. It will be very interesting to see if the game can keep the feel of the originals but still be unique as it is not a remaster. The game is most likely still in the very early stages of development and no one knows when the release date will be, but some are saying it could possibly be in early 2023.
Meanwhile, only time will tell as we still do not know a lot about the remake. It will be very interesting to see when we will get new news on the game. But for now, we can just be excited about a beloved game getting a remake.
