All six episodes of Lucasfilms newest show Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi are now streaming on Disney Plus and fans are loving the new animated content. With Dave Filoni returning to Star Ward’s animation after his latest success with The Clone Wars season 7 has now struck gold again with Tales Of The Jedi. Tales is about two stories of Jedi Master Count Dooku and his descent into the darkness and the Chosen One’s padawan learner Ashoka Tano and her training.

With these stories being labeled as shorts and only being about 15 minutes long each there is only so much information Filoni could put in one episode as to not overload the viewer. With that being said these shorts delivered what was promised by giving Star Wars fans meaningful information on a fan-favorite character Ashoka, and a character who was for the most part a mystery in Count Dooku.

Dooku’s Fall

Seeing Dooku fall to the dark side firsthand was a great experience for the fans as well as seeing Dooku react to his former student Qui-Gon Jinn’s death. Seeing a young Qui-Gon was also a treat and even seeing Qui-Gon during the events of The Phantom Menace was a great surprise.

Being able to see events that are not shown in the movie but take place during the movie is always amazing and it really helped tie everything together for The Phantom Menace.

Fans also got a lesson in the force as we saw a one-year-old Ashoka Tano tame a huge beast with the force. Filoni has always enjoyed teaching the fan base more about the great mystery that is the force and now we all have a better understanding after just the first episodes of Tales.

Ashoka Tano’s training

We also get to see Ashoka Tano as a padawan training with her master Anakin Skywalker. While Ashoka is training, we get to see the exact same spin move that the Jedi uses to escape Order 66 in season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
