Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is an animated show that was written by the same group who brought us Season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Tales will focus on the Jedi of the prequel era such as Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Ashoka Tano, and of course Anikan Skywalker. The series will be broken up into six shorts that follow these characters. Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi is coming from creator Dave Filoni who worked directly with George Lucas in the earlier season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Tales of the Jedi will be showing some new content that has only been talked about in some books. It seems we will be getting some new backstory on the fallen Jedi Count Dooku as well as some post-order 66 content following Ashoka Tano.

In the trailer as linked here, we also see Anikan Skywalker training Ahsoka Tano and the spin she tries to complete is the same move that saves her life in Season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars during order 66.

Many voice actors will return for Tales Of The Jedi

Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi will include many of the same voice actors from The Clone Wars returning including Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu, Ashley Eckstein as Ashoka Tano, Matt Lanter as Anikan Skywalker, and Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn.

In Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi it seems we will get to see how Ahsoka Tano manages to defeat an Inquisitor without her lightsabers to take his Kyber Crystals and purify them to turn them into her iconic white lightsabers as seen in Rebels and The Mandalorian.

It seems we will also get to see a young Qui-Gon Jinn and his master Count Dooku. These are things that have only been talked about in books and fans are very excited to be able to actually watch them happen especially in the animation style of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Tales Of The Jedi coming this October

It will be very interesting to see how well Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi will perform as all six episodes will be released on October 26th on Disney Plus. How will the fans react if anything from the books is changed? Why did we see Dooku Fighting Yaddle? There are so many questions that must be answered. But for right now we’ll all have to just wait and see what happens when the episodes are released on October 26th on Disney Plus.
