Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Announced For 2022

The premiere of The Bad Batch was this year and it was a huge success within the Star Wars community. But that lack of new surrounding rumors of a season two had some fans worried that it would be a one-and-done kind of show. Well, we can all rest easy as Season 2 of The Bad Batch will be airing sometime in 2022.

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch features a group of elite and experimental clones that were first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and the story itself picks up in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War,” reports IGN.

Fans were immediately in love with Clone Force 99 after their debut in the last season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. With the first episode of The Bad Batch kicking off moments before the dreaded Order 66 fans were forced to relive the final moments of The Clone Wars.

The show goes on with Clone Force 99 and their young companion Omega as they make their way through a rapidly changing galaxy due to the Galactic Republic’s transition into the Galactic Empire.

The Bad Batch is getting a second season

As the Empire hunts down the group of rogue clones many changes are happening for example the clones who executed Order 66 are being pushed out of active duty for conscripted soldiers. The show’s writers are doing a great job at showing the rise of the empire and how much it affects the galaxy and the people who live in it. It also shows how the empire is already oppressing many non-human races, making them slaves, taking their land, or worlds for their own gain. It really helps shine some light on how evil the empire actually is

Season 2 is sure to be great if season one is any indication of the rest of the series. Many fans feel very lucky that there are people at Disney who actually know Star Wars. Those people are Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. They are the masterminds behind the last reason of the Clone Wars and The Mandalorian.

The duo is keeping Star Wars alive and relevant. So as viewers look forward to Season 2 of The Bad Batch, they should keep in mind that it’s Favreau and Filoni who are producing such great content. It will be very interesting to see what they have in store for us at Omega and Clone Force 99 move forward through the changing Galaxy.
