Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Could Have Just Been Pushed Back

The Bad Batch

Star Wars animated shows have driven the franchise very far for many years. The Clone Wars brings in a now fan-favorite character Ashoka Tano, Rebels leading the way for Kenobi and the Fallen Order series, and the most recent is Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The Bad Batch also known as Clone Force 99 is a group of gently mutated clones that all have a special skill.

First appearing in season seven of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Clone Force 99 quickly become popular with the fans as they can handle almost every situation completely on their own.

With the popularity came their own spinoff show that was also animated. The Bad Batch season one showed the direct aftermath of order 66 from the clone’s perspective.

What does the Bad Batch do?

Clone force 99 was unaffected by their inhibitor chips and therefore did not carry out order 66. They then depart Kamino with a female child who is also a clone named Omega and continue to live their lives on the run from the newly formed Galactic Empire.

Fans have been waiting very patently for Season 2 of this show and until now it was set to release in September of this year but with the news of Andor being delayed and pushed back to September what could that mean for The Bad Batch Season 2?

It seems that with Andor being pushed back we might not get the bad batch until later this year as Disney most likely would not want the two shows to overlap as it could cause issues with the ratings, kinda like what Obi-Wan Kenobi did to Miss Marvel.

What is to come in Season 2?

A dealy for the Bad Batch could really disappoint the fans as it has almost been a year since Season 1 ended. It is safe to say that fans need some new content as the trailer for Season 2 showed some very interesting events.

It seems Commander Cody might be getting his time in the spotlight again, it also showed some Clone Comandos that could be from Delta squad. It also seemed a certain young Wookie Jedi may have needed some assistance.

With so little information about the fate of The Bad Batch Season 2, it is hard to say if we will even get it this year with Andor basically taking its place. It would be safe to say that if it does get pushed back it would most likely be late this year or very early next year, but for right now we will just have to wait and see.
