Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season Two Episode Two Review

Star wars: The bad Batch Season Two episode two review

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season two episode two has officially aired. After the first episode of the new season really set the tone. Episode two took a look at the darker aspects of the show. Episode two leaves off after The Bad batch goes on a heist mission to Serenno. The group of Clones are trying to steal riches from the late Count Dooku’s castle. After the plan goes terribly wrong, the Bad batch’s forces are now split as they try to meet back up.

Tech, Echo, and Omega are rescued by a local after Tech is injured in a crash. The local who goes by the name Romar takes the group back to his house to hide from the imperial troops. It is from there that Omega is very concerned that they are leaving empty-handed.

Tech and Echo both agree that it is too dangerous to go back for riches and Omega is unhappy with their orders. This prompts Omega to leave on her own to try to get their treasure back. Meanwhile, Hunter and Wrecker are fighting for their lives as they run through the forests of Serenno.

Clone Wars tie Ins

Romar is trying to revive his culture to a time before War ravaged the Galaxy. While Tech is surprised and admits he has never thought of the time before the war and what life was like then. This is what the Clone Wars series was great at. Making the viewer look at the war as a whole. Not just as living beings fighting droids, as explained by Vulture.com

Ultimately The Bad batch has to go home empty-handed. After saving Omega from the Empire the group escapes on their starship. It is then that Omega explains to echo that she wishes she could give The Bad Batch the life they deserve. Omega feels like the group is stuck with her. Although that may be somewhat true, Echo explains that they would never have a normal life. With or without Omega they would still live hard lives.

As the Bad batch escapes we get a look at a returning villain in Admiral Rampart. Rampart is talking to the Clone who is in command of the forces on Serenno as he mentions that his report must be changed. The report stated the Clone Force 99 was responsible for this attack. Rampart states that The Bad Batch was reported as KIA on Kamino.

The Darker Side Of Star Wars

If Governor Tarkin was to find out they survived it would cause problems for Admiral Rampart. The Clone refuses to lie on his report so Rampart kills him without hesitation. This is where the episode leaves off as we get some dark outro music.
